Using the International Curriculum (IC)
The International Curriculum has been created by Good Shepherd Ministries International. It is a revolutionary new tool for pastors, missions organizations, missionaries, and national leaders in foreign Countries. The IC consists of professionally recorded training sessions and curriculum taught by mature Christian leaders in many of the World’s major languages. Since all of the material was developed in a bilingual format new languages can be added easily. The IC covers a wide variety of subjects and utilizes a broad selection of teachers from diverse backgrounds. Those teachers include: Jack Hayford, T.L. Osborn, Reinhard Bonnke, Joyce Meyer, Larry Stockstill, Ed Cole, Brian Houston, A.R. Bernard and Dick Eastman, to name a few.
One of the greatest needs on the harvest fields of our world is the raising up of godly, effective leaders. The major objective of the curriculum is to strengthen training institutes and to turn local churches all over the world into ministry training centers. The curriculum also empowers national pastors to raise up leadership for ministry work and church planting in their local contexts. Jesus called us to make disciples and not simply to win souls. This two year program will provide high quality teaching and training for those who sense a greater call of God on their lives.
The ISOM Curriculum is divided up into a systematic, five semester structure. There are 159 sessions within this framework, and each is about an hour in length. This curriculum is recognized by four separate institutions and credentials can be awarded by each at the student’s time of completion. At the conclusion of the third semester each student will receive a certificate of Biblical Studies from Long Island School of Biblical Studies. Those who go on and complete semesters four and five can receive an Associate of Biblical Studies diploma from Long Island School of Biblical Studies, an Associates of Practical Ministry diploma from Wagner Leadership Institute and an Associates of Biblical Studies degree from Christian Leadership University. You will also be eligible for the Diploma of Christian Ministry from Vision International Education Network. These diplomas and degrees do not lead to ordination.
Christian Leadership University, Wagner Leadership Institute and Vision International Education Network all offer correspondence degree programs at the bachelors, masters and doctorate levels, for those who wish to continue their education beyond this point.
We are very excited to be making this opportunity available at Full Gospel Christian Center. Classes will meet once a week on Thursday evenings from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m. in the Upper Room. Two to three sessions will be taught each night with a fifteen minute break, except for certain nights which will be reserved for review and testing. A thorough syllabus will be handed out at the beginning of each semester. This will help to keep each student informed and current in their studies at all times. Attendance is mandatory and anything beyond two absences will begin to affect the student’s final letter grade. In case of an emergency or at the instructor’s discretion, students may be given the opportunity to make up a missed class by coming in and watching the video course for the day they missed. There are approximately four tests per semester. If a student misses an exam they must take it at the next class meeting. If a student fails a test they will be given an additional assignment. The grade they receive for that assignment will replace the failing grade they received on the exam.
Not only is this course so convenient for the adult student who works full-time and may already be in an area of ministry, it is also very affordable. Each semester costs $150.00. Seventy-five dollars is due by the registration date and the seventy-five dollar balance is due by the first day of class. All checks are to be made payable to Full Gospel Christian Center and payment should be given to the school’s secretary. The total cost for the five semesters is $750.00. There is no charge for the certificate or diploma given by Long Island School of Biblical Studies, but the diploma from Wagner Leadership Institute and the degree from Christian Leadership University cost $150.00 each. The diploma from Vision International Education Network will cost $240.00. It will cost $1,290.00 to complete this two year program and to be awarded recognition by 4 separate institutes. This is just a fraction of what it would cost to receive an associates degree in most colleges today. For this reason financial aid will not be made available.
Many churches all over the world have reported a high degree of success in using the ISOM Curriculum as a church based training school. By attending the Long Island School of Biblical Studies you will be greatly equipped and prepared to fulfill the call of God on your life.
