A Pastor's Wife, A Faithful Friend

Thank for you being our Pastor’s wife.

It is not an easy job to lead us, lots of work and a hard life,

Many years of hard work is entailed.

Yet you are always there and never fail.

You have been a loving mother, a faithful friend,

A good wife, spiritual leader, to your qualities there is no end

God has given us the honor to know you and work beside you.

You stand alongside of our Pastor and are his refuge.

You have been there when he is tired and weary

You comfort him when times are hard, we see this clearly

You see him when he cries and wipe his tears,

You know what he loves and know his fears.

You are his friend, faithful pal and loving kin,

You give him words of wisdom and encourage him.

You understand him when no one else does or cares to try,

You nurse him when he’s ill, holding your composure to later cry

You love him unconditionally just as God does the same,

You have always stood by our leader and never complained.

And for this we thank you, a special lady to a special man.

Behind every great man, stands an even greater woman!

Charm is deceitful and beauty is vain,

But a woman that fears the Lord, she shall be praised. 

You truly are that Proverbs 31 woman.
